Do I need my exact birth time?
Birth time is optional. If you provide it, the reading is more accurate — it sets your Rising sign and fixes the Moon's exact degree, since the Moon moves about 13 degrees a day and can change sign at any hour. If you don't know your time, you will still receive a full chart and forecasts.
Why was my Moon sign wrong on another site?
Almost always a timezone problem. The offset in force on your birth date is often not the offset your city uses today, because of daylight saving and historical timezone changes. Cosmic Guide resolves your exact city of birth to coordinates and looks up the historical offset for your birth date before converting your time to universal time.
What if I don't know my birth time?
Leave the time field blank and you can still use Cosmic Guide. You will get a Sun-based natal reading and, in most cases, a reliable Moon sign. Rising sign and house placements will be treated as provisional until you find your recorded time.
How do I find my city of birth accurately?
Start typing your city in the place-of-birth field and pick the matching suggestion. Cosmic Guide then locks in latitude, longitude and the timezone that applied on your birth date.
What is the difference between Sun, Moon and Rising signs?
